What is Muscle Pain?

On the whole, muscle pain is the result or the sign of an injury, infection, disease or another problem with your health. There are different kinds of pain such as a deep aches or sharp pains. Many people experience muscle pain all over their body, whereas some may have pain in particular areas. Muscle pain is experienced in different ways by everyone.

Anyone can experience muscle pain, from all ages and genders. If you try a new exercise for the first time which activates a muscle in your body that doesn’t usually get much use, you may experience DOMS. This delayed-onset muscle soreness may activate between 6-12 hours after a workout and could last up to 48 hours. This pain is experienced due to the minute muscle tears that exercise has caused.

Along with muscle pain, often, you may experience joint pain, muscle cramping and muscle spasms. These are common symptoms that often come with muscle pain.
