IV is rarely the first thing we recommend. Oral approaches and foundational care come first.
WHAT IV THERAPY AT MOJO KLINIK ACTUALLY IS
A medical service with full clinical assessment, individually prescribed by Dr Varipatis.
Every IV requires a clinical assessment before it can be administered. Some IV formulations require specific pathology screening (such as G6PD before high-dose vitamin C). Each formulation is tailored to the individual patient. This is not a hydration drop-in or a wellness
drip menu.
The Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM), the Australasian Institute of Medical Nutrition (AIMN), both set practice standards for clinical IV nutrient therapy that require individual prescription, pre-screening pathology, and clinical assessment before administration.
An IV vitamin therapy Neutral Bay service operates to the same standard of care any prescription medical treatment requires. The two step booking process exists for that reason.

IV Therapy Initial Assessment with Dr Emmanuel Varipatis
30 min · $240 in-person · $260 Zoom
Dr Varipatis reviews your health history, symptoms, and biochemical needs. Relevant screening tests (such as G6PD before high-dose vitamin C) may be required before any IV is prescribed. If suitable, a personalised IV formulation is prescribed. Important: if you have a complex medical history (for example, you are receiving cancer treatment and want supportive care), please book a 1-hour Mojo New Patient Appointment with Dr Varipatis instead. The longer appointment allows time for full review and is necessary prior to any IV booking.
Step 2
IV Treatment with Dr Emmanuel Varipatis
~1 hour
Only available to patients who have completed the IV Therapy Initial Assessment. Once your formulation is prescribed, you book the IV treatment itself.

Post-viral fatigue / Long COVID

Why a medical assessment is required: IV bypasses normal absorption pathways. That is why it works clinically and why safety screening matters. Some IV formulations require specific pathology screening before a first prescription (for example, G6PD before high-dose vitamin C). Each formulation is tailored to the individual patient, not selected from a wellness menu. This is the same standard of care any prescription medical treatment requires. What to expect after an IV: detox reactions. Some patients experience a transient reaction in the 24 to 48 hours after the infusion (sometimes called a Herxheimer-style reaction): mild fatigue or flu-like symptoms, headache, a short-lived increase in symptoms before improvement, bowel changes, or mild rash. These typically settle within 24 to 72 hours and are reviewed at your next appointment.

For full pricing, see Consultation Fees. There is no Medicare rebate for IV treatments. Telehealth available Australia-wide for follow-up consultations. Medicare rebates apply for in-person initial consultations (except Heavy Metal Initial Appointment). For your first appointment, in-person at our Neutral Bay clinic is strongly recommended.

How much does IV therapy cost at Mojo Klinik?
The IV Therapy Initial Assessment with Dr Varipatis is 30 minutes, $240 inperson or $260 by Zoom, with a Medicare rebate available for in-person initial consultations. The IV treatment itself is approximately 1 hour – formulations are individualised, so price is quoted at the Initial Assessment). Patients with a complex medical history are recommended to book a 1-hour Mojo New Patient Appointment instead, at $480 in-person or $500 by Zoom.

Do I need an assessment before my first IV?
Yes. Every IV is individually prescribed. The IV Therapy Initial Assessment is required before any IV treatment. There is no walk-in IV pathway at Mojo Klinik.
"The assessment is not optional. It is the standard of care for any prescription medical treatment. We do not run a wellness drip menu. Patients who want one are better served at clinics that offer that model. We are different."
What if I have a complex medical history?
Book a 1-hour Mojo New Patient Appointment with Dr Varipatis instead of
the shorter IV Therapy Initial Assessment. This is particularly important
if you are receiving cancer treatment, have multiple complex conditions,
or take multiple medications. The longer appointment allows time for
full review.
What about high-dose vitamin C?
High-dose IV vitamin C requires G6PD screening before first prescription.
G6PD is an enzyme deficiency that affects how the body processes high doses, and screening for it is a standard safety check. This is part of why the Initial Assessment exists.
Can I bring a referral or request a specific formulation?
You can bring any documentation. Dr Varipatis will review your history and
either confirm the requested formulation is appropriate, recommend
modifications, or recommend a different approach based on his clinical
assessment. The prescription is his.
How often will I need IV therapy?
t depends entirely on the clinical situation. Some patients have a short
course; others have ongoing maintenance over months. The plan is built at
the Initial Assessment.
